Assignments
Once a month we run Assignments. To Submit Images for Assignments, please do so by one of the following means:
- Email to Mhexley@hotmail.com no later than the dates specified on the assignment.
- Via CD, DVD or Copied to a Memory Stick
Please title your images to what is required to be shown e.g. Sunset.jpg.
If you would like one of your images to be put forward for the Friendly Monthly Competition WebVote, please include somewhere in the title COMP e.g. Sunset-comp.jpg or COMP_Sunset.jpg.
Your image will feature within the forums alongside any others submitted. Members can then cast their vote for their favourite photography submitted for the month.
Some Tips
When checking your own images or appraising others, it helps to consider the following:
- Is the Exposure and Contrast correct
- Is the intended Sharpness adequate
- Is the Composition suitable and Cropped appropriately
- Are there any background distractions
- Does the image fully reflect the assignment brief
- Is there a fair degree of creativity in the shot

Macro / Closeup
Submit a maximum of 3 images of the theme no later than 5th February 2008. These pictures will be presented on 12th February 2008.
February 2008
Emotions
Submit a maximum of 3 images of the theme no later than 4th March 2008. These pictures will be presented on 11th March 2008.
March 2008
Technology
Submit a maximum of 3 images of the theme no later than 1st April 2008. These pictures will be presented on 8th April 2008.
April 2008
Spring
Submit a maximum of 3 images of the theme no later than 6th May 2008. These pictures will be presented on 13th May 2008.
May 2008
Colour
Submit a maximum of 3 images of the theme no later than 3rd June 2008. These pictures will be presented on 10th June 2008.
June 2008
Lines
Submit a maximum of 3 images of the theme no later than 1st July 2008. These pictures will be presented on 8th July 2008.
July 2008
Art
Submit a maximum of 3 images of the theme no later than 7th August 2008. These pictures will be presented on 12th August 2008.
August 2008
Best of Summer
Submit a maximum of 3 images of the theme no later than 2nd September 2008. These pictures will be presented on 9th September 2008.
September 2008
Harvest
Submit a maximum of 3 images of the theme no later than 7th October 2008. These pictures will be presented on 14th April 2008.
October 2008
3 of a Kind
Submit a maximum of 3 images of the theme no later than 7th November 2008. These pictures will be presented on 14th November 2008.
November 2008
Movement
Submit a maximum of 3 images of the theme no later than 4th December 2008. These pictures will be presented on 11th December 2008.
December 2008
Night & Low Light
Submit a maximum of 3 images of the theme no later than 5th January 2009. These pictures will be presented on 13th January 2009.
